We provide ALL equipment and materials in this supply intensive, educational experience. Upon completion of the field trip, students receive a cool science certificate and every program provides a create-n-keep experiment. Teachers will receive a resource packet, including a review of the standards covered, worksheets and more!

Science Fun For Everyone, SFFE (formerly High Touch - High Tech TRI, Science Made Fun!) is extremely excited about transitioning to a non-profit organization!
Our ultimate goal is to lower the fees so more children can benefit from these “Fun and Educational Science Experiences”.
Nothing has changed but the name. Our true passion is to provide teachers and students with Fun, Educational and Convenient In-school, science field trips. We will transform your classroom into a hands-on, Living Laboratory!
Kids become Scientists and learn by doing the actual experiments.
These programs are totally hands-on and meet the NC Objectives
and the New Essential Standards for Science and Common Core.
All of our programs are taught by degreed professionals.
Motion Mania Essential Standard: K.P.1.1, K.P.1.2
Jumping, running, flying, falling…get ready for some "Motion Mania"! Junior scientists will have a blast experimenting with wacky worms to learn position and motion. Keep up if you can as we launch rockets and get in the groove with all sorts of gravity games!
Property Party Essential Standard: K.P.2.1, K.P.2.2
Put on your thinking cap and let the fun begin. Join us for a property party scavenger hunt before growing rainbow crystals. Does it sink or float, bend or break? Dare to compare in this hands-on, inquiry based “Property Party”!
Mini Meteorology Essential Standard: K.E.1.1, K.E.1.2, K.E.1.3
From summer to snow, explore the “reasons for the seasons” in this year-round observation adventure. Mini Meteorologists will combine their senses to master our mystery boxes in this hands-on, weather wonderland!
Animal Detectives Essential Standard: K.L.1.1, K.L.1.2
Grab your magnifying glass and compare various cute creatures and their cool characteristics. From bird beaks to mammal hair, study various animal structures. Claws are a must to survive our "crabitat"... then jump into our “Soil Safari” fun!
Funky Forces
Essential Standard: 1.P.1.1, 1.P.1.2, 1.P.1.3, K.P.1.2 Catch a notion of "loco-Motion" in this tug-a-war of forces. Chemically concoct a batch of magnetic detecting slime. Attract, repel, push and pull with many magnificent magnets!
Astro Adventures Essential Standard: 1.E.1.1, 1.E.1.2
Have a blast and join us on this outer space adventure. Explore the fascinating features of our moon and sun. Become part of the launch pad while launching rockets. Investigate moon movements and more astronomical fun experiments!
Soil Rocks! Essential Standard: 1.E.2.1, 1.E.2.2
Turn on your head-lamps to "get the dirt" on soil and its super soaking powers. Junior Geologists will pan for real rocks and minerals while exploring useful earth materials. Sort, test... and keep everything you find!
Living Lab

Living, breathing, eating, seeding… an environmental excursion for everyone! Explore the needs of plants and animals, then make-n-take home a mini-habitat in this Living Lab Adventure!

Essential Standard: Science as Inquiry Statement
Assemble your team of Junior Engineers and put those critical
thinking skills to the test. Jr.Scientists will create awesome
eruptions, construct a crane and “mix-n-measure” cool chemical concoctions!
Sound Surprise Essential Standard: 2.P.1.1, 2.P.1.2
"Tune in" to discover the good vibrations of sound. Make molecules bounce and water fly! Create echoes with columns of air... and then chemically create slimy sounds in this acoustic adventure.
Solids vs. Liquids
Essential Standard: 2.P.2.1, 2.P.2.2, 2.P.2.3 Melting, mixing, absorbing and freezing... join us for science that really MATTERS! We’ll go on an ice fishing excursion and learn to measure matter as it changes from a solid to a liquid. Jr. Scientists will make “science ice” that will “grow-n-glow" to take home and study!
Weather Wise Essential Standard: 2.E.1.1, 2.E.1.2, 2.E.1.3, 2.E.1.4 Watch out as we blast clouds all around the classroom! Experiment with real weather instruments such as anemometers, thermometers, rain gauges and more. Young Meteorologists will even construct and keep their own weather station.
Circle of Life Essential Standard: 2.L.1.1, 2.L.1.2, 2.L.2.1, 2.L.2.2 From birth to adult… Journey through the life cycle of mealworms, butterflies, crickets and frogs. Junior Zoologists will study real
live bugs, see through the eyes of insects and take home
their own animal souvenir!
Motion Commotion Essential Standard: 3.P.1.1, 3.P.1.2, 3.P.1.3 Junior Physicists will separate fact from fiction as we experiment with friction. Next, split up into teams of scientists to work in labs, exploring factors that affect motion. Defeat gravity with our "Altzer Rockets" then create and keep your own fun friction tube, and more!
A Matter of Science Essential Standard: 3.P.2.1, 3.P.2.2, 3.P.2.3, 3.P.3.1, 3.P.3.2 We'll have a "gas" exploring the properties of matter. Explore freezing and melting as students make their own science ice cream. Create and conduct heat before enjoying a frozen treat... then chemically concoct your own “cool” keepsake!
Our Place in Space Essential Standard: 3.E.1.1, 3.E.1.2 Become an astronomer as we explore the components of the Earth, Moon and Sun system. Create “glow-in-the-dark” constellations to study the patterns of stars. Learn how to use the shadows from the Sun to tell time with your very own sun-clock!
Lava, Lakes and Landforms
Essential Standard: 3.E.2.1, 3.E.2.2 From canyons to caverns and volcanoes to valleys, Junior Geologists will be erupting with excitement while exploring the Earth's landforms. We'll use 3-D models for hands-on experimenting of salt and freshwater features. Mix up a batch of our famous "liquid lava" to take home.
Skin-n-Bones Essential Standard: 3.L.1.1, 3.L.1.2 Get the “Bare Bone Facts” about the skeletal and muscular systems on this anatomical adventure. Put on surgical gloves and have a hands-on look at REAL animal hearts, kidneys, eyeballs and more!
Plant Power Essential Standard: 3.L.2.1, 3.L.2.2, 3.L.2.3, 3.L.2.4 “Trans-plant” yourself into the wonderful world of Botany and explore the properties of soil. Watch flowers change color right before your eyes and then grow your own “Plant Pal” with drought defending crystals. Journey through the life cycle of plants and dissect flowers before our finale' “Xploda-Soda!”
Electrifying Adventures Essential Standard: 4.P.1.1, 4.P.1.2, 4.P.3.1, 4.P.3.2 Explore the amazing world of magnetism and electricity in a FUN and safe way. Learn what’s “current” as electricity flows through your body! Build your own circuits to produce light, heat, sound and magnetic effects. You will be “shocked” at all the “Hair-Raising”, electrifying facts you’ll discover.
Can You Dig It? Essential Standard: 4.P.2.1, 4.P.2.2, 4.P.2.3
"Dig in" to the amazing world of Geology. Junior Geologists will perform an excavation in search of real rocks, minerals and beautiful gemstones. Everything you find... you keep! Perform scratch, hardness, and conductivity tests as we classify our minerals.
Moon in Motion Essential Standard: 4.E.1.1, 4.E.1.2
Discover the causes of day and night in this "out of this world" adventure. “Waxing or Waning”... we'll make moon phases “Entertaining”!
Junior Astronomers will launch "rockin' rockets", make a solar souvenir and more... as we set the Moon in Motion.
Fun Fossils and Formations Essential Standard: 4.E.2.1, 4.E.2.2, 4.E.2.3 Finally… fun formations and fossil explorations that will captivate your students! We'll make earthquakes and eruptions to help understand our ever-changing Earth. This program wouldn't be complete without creating your own fantastic fossil.
Nature's Niche Essential Standard: 4.L.1.1, 4.L.1.2, 4.L.1.3, 4.L.1.4 Explore the world of animal behavior and adaptation. Have fun while studying different live animals, and then create and keep an arctic habitat to house the adaptive animal you design. Do you have what it takes to win the battle of the bird beaks?
You Are What You Eat Essential Standard: 4.L.2.1, 4.L.2.2
Why are vitamins vital and minerals magnificent? Join us for this
outside-the-box exploration of digestion, health and exercise. Use your "acid breath" to make cool colors before chemically creating your own “Slimy Saliva”. Have fun with food to discover... you really ARE what you eat! *No nuts used in any of our programs
Newton's Lab
Essential Standard: 5.P.1.1, 5.P.1.2, 5.P.1.3, 5.P.1.4 Step back in time to the days of Newton to discover the relationship between force and motion. Defy gravity and launch rockets with the power of moving air! Fifth grade phenomenal Physicists will compete in a cool catapult contest.... in addition to designing their own balloon race cars.
Energy Matters
Essential Standard: 5.P.2.1, 5.P.2.2, 5.P.2.3, 5.P.3.1, 5.P.3.2
Understand the interaction of energy and matter in a fun, hands-on way. We’ll discover the impact of the Sun's solar power, create crazy concoctions and experiment with heat to explore convection and conduction. Jr. Scientists will “weigh” their options while creating a hot vs. cold eruption!
Storm Chasers Essential Standard: 5.E.1.1, 5.E.1.2, 5.E.1.3
Dive into the jet stream and join us for some storm chasing fun. Students will be "shocked” as they get struck by safe lightning! Learn about global weather patterns and use real weather instruments to measure precipitation, wind speed and more as we explore the marvelous world of meteorology.
Body Works “Inside & Out” Essential Standard: 5.L.1.1, 5.L.1.2
Put on your safety gloves and prepare for an anatomy adventure. We'll journey through the systems of the body from the circulatory...to the digestive... then skeletal and more! You won't believe your eyes as we discover how the "body works"…from the inside out!
DNA Detectives Essential Standard: 5.L.3.1, 5.L.3.2
Grab your microscope to investigate the "micro-universe" of heredity and genes in this outside-the-box experience. Students will extract real DNA to gain an understanding of how incredibly different “related” organisms can be. Create your own creature with crazy characteristics.
Eco Explorers Essential Standard: 5.L.2.1, 5.L.2.2, 5.L.2.3
Join us for an "Eco Exploration" as we interact with live animals in their ecosystems. Investigate the world of producers, consumers and decomposers. Jr. Biologists will dissect owl pellets and build their own living ecosystem to take home!
